2002年获得清华大学建筑学院建筑学学士（五年制），2005年获得清华大学建筑学院规划硕士，2016年获得佐治亚理工学院建筑学院城市规划博士。毕业后曾任佐治亚理工学院讲师和博士后研究员，佐治亚理工—同济中美联合生态实验室主任助理。

Dr. Quan received a Bachelor of Architecture degree (5-year) in 2002 and a Master of Engineering in Urban Planning in 2005 from the College of Architecture at Tsinghua University. He received a Ph.D. degree in city and regional planning from the College of Architecture (now College of Design) at the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2016. After graduation, Dr. Quan worked as a lecturer and postdoc fellow at Georgia Institute of Technology, and also served as the assistant director of the Sino-US Eco Urban Lab, a joint lab between Georgia Tech and Tongji University.

研究方向与社会贡献  （Research direction and social contribution）

主要研究领域包括能源集约的城市形态、可持续城市系统模型和优化、人工智能支持的城市设计(AIAD)、基于数据的可持续土地区划等。这些研究被接收和发表在 Environment and Planning B, Applied Energy, Urban Design International, Transportation Research Part A等期刊，以及作为章节发表在Computers in Urban Planning and Urban Management (CUPUM)丛书。近期研究包括当地气候区划分(local climate zones, LCZs)、城市尺度的实体化能源(embodied energy)、应用城市生成式对抗网络(Urban-GANs)的城市设计、城市热环境的不公平性等。研究得到韩国国家研究基金、首尔国立大学创新研究基金、大数据中心等的资助。详细研究信息见城市能源实验室网站：http://gses.snu.ac.kr/cityenergylab。

曾作为规划师参与国内规划实践。曾任清华规划设计研究院（现清华同衡规划设计研究院）总体规划三所主任工程师。曾主持、管理和主要参与过大量城市规划与设计项目，并作为项目主管带领团队赢得多次国际城市设计投标。
作为大会组委会成员组织亚洲规划学校协会2019大会。

His research fields include energy-efficient urban form, sustainable urban system modeling and optimization, AI-aided urban design, and data-driven sustainable zoning systems. These studies were accepted and published in journals such as Environment and Planning B, Applied Energy, Urban Design International, and Transportation Research Part A, and in Computers in Urban Planning and Urban Management (CUPUM) books as book chapters. Recently Dr. Quan has worked on projects including local climate zones (LCZs), embodied energy at the urban scale, urban design computation using Urban-GANs, and thermal inequity in urban environments. His research has been supported by the National Research Foundation of Korea, Creative Researchers Fund of Seoul National University, and Big Data Institute. Dr. Quan worked in China as a planning practitioner. He worked as a Chief Planner in the No. 3 Department of Comprehensive Planning at Tsinghua Urban Planning & Design Institute. He led and participated in a large number of city planning and design projects, and led teams to win several international urban design contests.

As a conference committee member, Dr. Quan participated in the organization of the 15th International Congress of the Asian Planning Schools Association (APSA).

作为IACP的长期成员，积极参与IACP年会以及其他IACP组织的各项会议与活动。目前是IACP委员会成员。

Dr. Quan is a long-term active member of the IACP and has been involved in IACP conferences and activities. Currently, he is a member of the Board of Directors in the IACP.
