招聘要求

申请人应具有博士学位,有深厚的理论基础和广博的专业知识,丰富的学术实践经验,能圆满完成教学科研任务。具有优良的学风和高尚的师德,优良的教学科研业绩和外语水平,有丰富的教学经验,能用英语讲授专业课。

针对不同岗位的具体要求如下:

1.   教授岗位

  • 在重点大学或国家研究机构任教授或研究员,具有博士生导师资格,年龄在45岁以下;
  • 主持并完成1个及以上国家级科研课题或3个及以上省部级科研课题;
  • 具有学术界公认的重要理论成果,发表过大量高水平论文和著作;
  • 正确把握学科发展方向,具有团结、协作精神及相应的组织、管理和领导能力,有能力组建具有前沿水平的学术团队,并带领创新团队进行教学科研工作;
  • 与本学科国内外学术界有广泛的联系与交往,与同领域国际一流学校的学科开展学术交流活动,拓展国际学术联系。

2.   副教授

  • 在重点大学和科研机构任副教授或副研究员,年龄在40岁以下;
  • 主持并完成2个及以上省部级科研课题;
  • 科研能力突出,发表过较多高水平的论文和著作;
  • 与本学科国内外学术界活跃,具有一定的知名度。

3.   助理教授

  • 学业优良,品行端正。具有很强的科研潜力和团队精神,年龄在35岁以下;
  • 具有科研潜力,在相关学科高水平期刊发表高质量论文2篇及以上;
  • 国内外一流大学毕业的博士优先考虑。

The Department of Urban Planning and Management at Renmin University of China invites applications for faculty positions at all ranks in urban sociology, urban economics, urban laws, environmental planning, urban governance, and big data and GIS.

In China, we are the first department of urban planning and management under the discipline of public administration which ranks No. 1 and is the “first-class discipline” in the latest national discipline evaluation. We focused on the research of Chinese urban planning and management issues from the perspective of public administration and policy.

Recruitment requirements

The successful candidate will hold a Ph. D in relevant disciplines, with an outstanding record of scholarly international publications demonstrating strong expertise in related areas, a demonstrated excellence in teaching, and strong skills of foreign languages.

  • The candidate for professor positions should be a full professor and doctoral student advisor in high-level universities or research institutes, who has finished at least one national research funding program or three provincial research funding programs. In addition, he or she should have published plenty of high-level academic papers in top journals and some books, and be well-recognized in academia. The maximum age is 45.
  • The candidate for associate professor positions should be an associate professor in high-level universities or research institutes, who has finished at least two provincial research funding programs. In addition, he or she should have published some high-level academic papers in top journals. The maximum age is 40.
  • The candidate for assistant professor positions should have good potentials of research and have published at least two high-level academic papers in top journals. The candidate with a Ph.D degree of highly ranked universities will be preferred.

Personal Attributes

Applicants should have good teaching experience and evidence of the ability to produce high quality research publications. Applicants are expected to have good language skills in English, and be able to teach in English, the language of instruction at the university. The successful appointee will be expected to teach; to undertake research in their area of specialization on both individual and group projects, and to be actively engaged in the publication of the results; and to participate in the administration and development of the Department of Urban Planning and Management.
