王明舒 ( Prof. Mingshu Wang)
荷兰特文特大学地理信息科学与地球观测学院(ITC)助理教授,博士生导师 荷兰4TU韧性工程中心科学家 Dr. Mingshu Wang is a tenure-track Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Geo-information Science and Earth Observation (ITC), University of Twente, The Netherlands. He is also an Associated Scientist at the 4TU Resilience Engineering Center, The Netherlands.
Dr. Wang earned his BSc from Nanjing University, MSc, and Ph.D. from the University of Georgia (USA). He worked as a consultant at the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), a research associate at the US Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA) and the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA), Austria.
王明舒于南京大学地理与海洋学院取得本科学位,美国佐治亚大学地理系先后取得硕士、博士学位。曾在后任职于世界自然基金会(WWF)、美国环保署(US EPA)、奥地利国际系统分析研究所(IIASA)。

主要研究领域是地理数据科学与城市分析,主要研究方法包括GIS与遥感集成,机器学习与计量模型。主持荷兰国家自然科学基金(NWO)项目两项,中科院开放基金、微软Azure科研基金项目各一项。相关研究成果发表在Applied Geography, Applied Energy, Cities, Computers Environment and Urban Systems, Environment and Planning A/B, Journal of Transport Geography, Land Use Policy, Landscape and Urban Planning, Urban Studies等学术期刊。多篇论文入选ESI高被引论文。
His research focuses on geodata science and urban analytics. He develops and applies GIScience methods and big data analytics for sustainable urban systems. As the principal investigator, he received two research grants from the Dutch Research Council (NWO), one from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and one from the Microsoft Azure Research Award. He has published research articles in Applied Geography, Applied Energy, Cities, Computers Environment and Urban Systems, Environment and Planning A/B, Journal of Transport Geography, Land Use Policy, Landscape and Urban Planning, Urban Studies. Several articles were selected as ESI high cited paper.
负责荷兰特文特大学本科GIS辅修项目,并承担4门核心/专业课的教学工作。共计指导博士生三名,硕士生六名。目前担任Regional Studies, Regional Science期刊副主编,国际遥感与摄影测量学会(ISPRS)物联网与空间决策支持工作组秘书,国际华人地理信息科学学会(CPGIS)理事。曾获教育部国家优秀自费留学生奖学金、国际区域科学协会(RSAI) 博士论文奖、美国遥感与摄影测量学会(ASPRS)Robert Colwell 纪念奖,并入选荷兰大地测量与地理信息中心人才计划。
At the University of Twente, he coordinates the undergraduate GIS Minor Program and lecturers in four GIScience courses. He is the supervisor of 3 Ph.D. students and 6 Master students. Currently, he is an Associate Editor of Regional Studies, Regional Science, the Secretary of the Internet of Things and Spatial Decision Support Working Group of the International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ISPRS), and a Board of Director (BOD) Member of Chinese Professionals of Geographical Information Science (CPGIS). He received the Chinese Government Award for Outstanding Students Abroad, Regional Science Association International (RSAI) Dissertation Award, American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ASPRS) Robert Colwell Memorial Fellowship. He was selected into the Netherlands Center for Geodesy and Geo-informatics (NCG) Talent Program.
