He completed his Ph.D. in planning at the University of Tokyo in 2008. He serves on several academic committees within the China Planning Academy, including Member and Secretary of the Planning Implementation Committee and Member of the Regional Planning and Urban Economics Committee.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>\u7814\u7a76\u65b9\u5411\u4e0e\u793e\u4f1a\u8d21\u732e&nbsp; \uff08<\/strong><\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>Research direction and social contribution\uff09<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u5f20\u78ca\u6559\u6388\u4e3b\u8981\u81f4\u529b\u4e8e\u5bf9\u57ce\u5e02\u89c4\u5212\u5236\u5ea6\u591a\u6837\u6027\u548c\u5236\u5ea6\u53d8\u8fc1\u7684\u5b9e\u8bc1\u5206\u6790\u548c\u7406\u8bba\u7814\u7a76\uff0c\u5c24\u5176\u5173\u6ce8\u4e2d\u56fd\u4ee5\u53ca\u65e5\u672c\u3001\u97e9\u56fd\u7b49\u4e9a\u6d32\u56fd\u5bb6\u4e2d\u7684\u5927\u57ce\u5e02\u5730\u65b9\u653f\u5e9c\u3001\u793e\u4f1a\u548c\u5e02\u573a\u5f71\u54cd\u89c4\u5212\u7684\u9014\u5f84\u548c\u673a\u5236\u3002\u6b64\u5916\uff0c\u4ed6\u4e5f\u5173\u6ce8\u57ce\u5e02\u975e\u6b63\u89c4\u6027\uff0c\u5c24\u5176\u662f\u975e\u6b63\u5f0f\u5236\u5ea6\u5728\u5851\u9020\u573a\u6240\u548c\u7a7a\u95f4\u751f\u4ea7\u4e2d\u6240\u8d77\u7684\u4f5c\u7528\uff0c\u5e76\u5bf9\u6df1\u5733\u3001\u5e7f\u5dde\u548c\u5317\u4eac\u7684\u57ce\u4e2d\u6751\u4ee5\u53ca\u5317\u4eac\u7684\u6d41\u52a8\u644a\u8d29\u7a7a\u95f4\u5206\u5e03\u8fdb\u884c\u4e86\u957f\u671f\u7684\u8ddf\u8e2a\u89c2\u5bdf\u548c\u5b9e\u8bc1\u7814\u7a76\u3002\u8fd9\u4e9b\u7814\u7a76\u6210\u679c\u53d1\u8868\u5728\u300aJournal of Planning Education and Research\u300b\u3001\u300aLand Use Policy\u300b\u3001\u300aChina Economic Review\u300b\u3001\u300aJournal of Planning Literature\u300b\u3001\u300a\u57ce\u5e02\u89c4\u5212\u300b\u3001\u300a\u57ce\u5e02\u89c4\u5212\u5b66\u520a\u300b\u3001\u300a\u5730\u7406\u5b66\u62a5\u300b\u7b49\u56fd\u5185\u5916\u671f\u520a\u4e0a\u3002\u5f20\u78ca\u6559\u6388\u53ca\u5176\u5408\u4f5c\u8005Michael Hibbard, Rachel Tochen\u3001Zhenghong Tang(\u5510\u653f\u6d2a),\u53d1\u8868\u5728\u300aJournal of Planning Education and Research\u300b\u671f\u520a\u4e0a\u7684\u8bba\u6587\u201c\u201d\uff0c\u83b7\u5f972019\u5e74\u5317\u7f8e\u89c4\u5212\u9662\u6821\u8054\u5408\u4f1aChester Rapkin\u6700\u4f73\u8bba\u6587\u5956\uff0c\u4e0e\u5f20\u5ef6\u5409\uff08\u7b2c\u4e00\u4f5c\u8005\uff09\u5408\u4f5c\u53d1\u8868\u5728\u300a\u57ce\u5e02\u89c4\u5212\u300b\u671f\u520a\u7684\u8bba\u6587\u300a\u57ce\u9547\u975e\u6b63\u89c4\u5c31\u4e1a\u4e0e\u57ce\u5e02\u4eba\u53e3\u589e\u957f\u7684\u81ea\u7ec4\u7ec7\u89c4\u5f8b\u300b\u66fe\u8363\u83b7\u201c2017\u5e74\u4e2d\u56fd\u57ce\u5e02\u89c4\u5212\u4f18\u79c0\u8bba\u6587\u5956\u201d\u3002<\/p>\n<p>Professor Zhang\u2019s research focuses on explaining institutional diversity and evolution in urban planning and development control, and in particular, the changing role of political power and public involvement in plans and planning in China and other East Asian Countries. He also explores the role of informal institutions in shaping place and space in China\u2019s mega-cities, such as urban villages in Shenzhen, Guangzhou, and Beijing, and street vendors in Beijing. He has published more than 40 papers in academic journals, including<em> Journal of Planning Education and Research<\/em>, <em>Land Use Policy<\/em>, <em>China Economic Review<\/em>, <em>Journal of Planning Literature<\/em>, <em>City Planning Review<\/em>, and <em>Urban Planning Forum<\/em>. He received the 2019 Chester Rapkin Award, with his three co-authors, Michael Hibbard, Rachel Tochen, and Zhenghong Tang, for the paper entitled \u201cThe Role of Local Leaders in Environmental Concerns in Master Plans: An Empirical Study of China\u2019s Eighty Large Municipalities\u201d. This paper was chosen by the Association of Collegiate Schools of Planning (ACSP) as the best article that appeared in the Volume 38 of <em>Journal of Planning Education and Research<\/em>.
