The theme of this conference was &#8220;Urban Innovations in the New Planning Context.&#8221; The nine-day online conference included nine special sessions and 53 parallel sessions, in addition to the opening and closing ceremonies. The conference was held online via TenCent Meeting and broadcasted at the Bilibili.com. Almost 300 faculty members, researchers, students and planners from around the world registered the conference. The conference received more than 40,000 online views.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: DengXian;\">\u7b2c\u5341\u56db\u5c4a\u56fd\u9645\u4e2d\u56fd\u89c4\u5212\u5b66\u4f1a\uff08<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">IACP<\/span><span style=\"font-family: DengXian;\">\uff09\u5e74\u4f1a\u5728\u7ebf\u4f1a\u8bae\u4e8e<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">2020<\/span><span style=\"font-family: DengXian;\">\u5e74<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">12<\/span><span style=\"font-family: DengXian;\">\u6708<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">5<\/span><span style=\"font-family: DengXian;\">\u65e5\u81f3<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">13<\/span><span style=\"font-family: DengXian;\">\u65e5\u6210\u529f\u4e3e\u529e\u3002\u5927\u4f1a\u7531\u56fd\u9645\u4e2d\u56fd\u89c4\u5212\u5b66\u4f1a\u4e3b\u529e\uff0c\u6df1\u5733\u5927\u5b66\u5efa\u7b51\u4e0e\u89c4\u5212\u5b66\u9662\u627f\u529e\u3002\u672c\u6b21\u4f1a\u8bae\u7684\u4e3b\u9898\u662f<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">&#8220;<\/span><span style=\"font-family: DengXian;\">\u65b0\u89c4\u5212\u80cc\u666f\u4e0b\u7684\u57ce\u5e02\u521b\u65b0<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">&#8220;<\/span><span style=\"font-family: DengXian;\">\u3002\u5927\u4f1a\u7684\u6240\u6709\u6d3b\u52a8\uff0c\u5305\u62ec\u5f00\u5e55\u5f0f\u3001<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">9<\/span><span style=\"font-family: DengXian;\">\u4e2a\u7279\u522b\u8bba\u575b\u3001<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">53<\/span><span style=\"font-family: DengXian;\">\u4e2a\u5e73\u884c\u8bba\u575b\u4ee5\u53ca\u95ed\u5e55\u5f0f\u5747\u901a\u8fc7\u817e\u8baf\u4f1a\u4e3e\u884c\uff0c\u540c\u65f6\u5728<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">B<\/span><span style=\"font-family: DengXian;\">\u7ad9\u76f4\u64ad\u3002\u8fd1<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">300<\/span><span style=\"font-family: DengXian;\">\u540d\u6765\u81ea\u4e16\u754c\u5404\u5730\u7684\u89c4\u5212\u5b66\u8005\u3001\u7814\u7a76\u751f\u4ee5\u53ca\u89c4\u5212\u5e08\u6ce8\u518c\u53c2\u4f1a\u3002\u5927\u4f1a\u603b\u5728\u7ebf\u89c2\u770b\u6b21\u6570\u8d85\u8fc7\u56db\u4e07\u4eba\u6b21\u3002<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">The opening ceremony was held on December 05, 2020 as a mixture of online and in-person event at the Shenzhen University. Professor Xiaochun Yang, the Associate Dean of the School of Architecture and Urban Planning at the Shenzhen University, presided the opening ceremony. Professor Zhiqiang Wu, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and vice-President of the Tongji University, gave his keynote speech on fast urbanization in China. Dr. Bing Zhang, Director of the Bureau of Territorial Planning of the Ministry of Natural Resources, gave his speech on territorial planning and sustainable development. Professor Christopher Webster, the Dean of the School of Architecture at the Hong Kong University, gave his keynote speech on smart cities.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: DengXian;\">\u672c\u6b21\u4f1a\u8bae\u9080\u8bf7\u5230\u4e86\u4e16\u754c\u77e5\u540d\u4e13\u5bb6\u548c\u653f\u5e9c\u5b98\u5458\u4e3a\u5927\u4f1a\u4f5c\u4e3b\u65e8\u6f14\u8bb2\u3002\u4e2d\u56fd\u5de5\u7a0b\u9662\u9662\u58eb\u540c\u6d4e\u5927\u5b66\u5434\u5fd7\u5f3a\u6559\u6388\u53d1\u8868\u4e3b\u65e8\u6f14\uff0c\u8ba8\u8bba\u4e2d\u56fd\u57ce\u9547\u5316\u5feb\u901f\u9636\u6bb5\u7684\u521b\u65b0\u601d\u8003\uff1b\u56fd\u571f\u8d44\u6e90\u90e8\u56fd\u571f\u7a7a\u95f4\u89c4\u5212\u5c40\u5c40\u957f\u5f20\u5175\u505a\u5173\u4e8e\u56fd\u571f\u7a7a\u95f4\u89c4\u5212\u4e0e\u53ef\u6301\u7eed\u53d1\u5c55\u7684\u6f14\u8bb2\uff1b\u9999\u6e2f\u5927\u5b66\u5efa\u7b51\u5b66\u9662\u9662\u957f\u4f1f\u4ed5\u8fbe\u53d1\u8868\u4e3b\u65e8\u6f14\u8bb2\uff0c\u63a2\u8ba8\u667a\u6167\u57ce\u5e02\u3002<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">The nine special sessions were held on three days. Professor Xiaochun Yang chaired a special session on contemporary urban planning theory and trend of thought. The special sessions on December 6<sup>th<\/sup> highlighted four topics. Professor Xinyue Ye and Lingqian Hu organized a panel that discussed planning for future built environment; Professor Jiayan Liu led a panel discussion of creating cities of sharing through planning; Professor Li Tian organized a special session on enhancing the market-based allocation of land factors and its implications for territorial spatial planning; and Professor Zhengdong Huang moderated a session on mega-city region and synergy of urban cluster. The five special sessions on December 12<sup>th<\/sup> discussed re-globalization (organized by Professor Yifei Sun), urban informality (organized by Professor Lei Zhang), urban renewal in Shenzhen (sponsored by the Peking University- Lincoln Institute Center and moderated by Dr. Zhi Liu), and space syntax of urban good life (organized by Professor Haofeng Wang).<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: DengXian;\">\u5927\u4f1a\u7279\u522b\u8bba\u575b\u7684\u7b2c\u4e00\u573a\u5728<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">12<\/span><span style=\"font-family: DengXian;\">\u6708<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">5<\/span><span style=\"font-family: DengXian;\">\u65e5\u4e0b\u5348\u4e3e\u884c\uff0c\u6768\u6653\u6625\u6559\u6388\u4e3b\u6301\uff0c<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-family: DengXian;\">\u8bba\u575b\u4e3b\u8981\u63a2\u8ba8\u5f53\u4ee3\u89c4\u5212\u7406\u8bba\u4e0e\u601d\u6f6e\u4ee5\u53ca\u6df1\u5733\u7684\u7ecf\u9a8c\u3002\u56db\u573a\u7279\u522b\u8bba\u575b\u5728<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">12<\/span><span style=\"font-family: DengXian;\">\u6708<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">6<\/span><span style=\"font-family: DengXian;\">\u65e5\u4e3e\u884c\u3002\u53f6\u4fe1\u5cb3\u548c\u80e1\u4f36\u5029\u6559\u6388\u5171\u540c\u4e3b\u6301\u7279\u522b\u8bba\u575b\u63a2\u8ba8\u89c4\u5212\u672a\u6765\u57ce\u5e02\u7a7a\u95f4\uff1b\u5218\u4f73\u71d5\u6559\u6388\u4e3b\u6301\u7531\u300a\u57ce\u5e02\u89c4\u5212\u300b\uff08\u82f1\u6587\u7248\uff09\u7ec4\u7ec7\u7684\u7279\u522b\u8bba\u575b\uff0c\u63a2\u8ba8\u5171\u4eab\u57ce\u5e02\u89c4\u5212\uff1b\u7530\u8389\u6559\u6388\u4e3b\u6301\u5173\u4e8e\u571f\u5730\u8981\u7d20\u5e02\u573a\u5316\u4e0e\u56fd\u571f\u7a7a\u95f4\u89c4\u5212\u5b9e\u65bd\u7684\u7279\u522b\u8bba\u575b\uff1b\u9ec4\u6b63\u4e1c\u6559\u6388\u4e3b\u6301\u7279\u522b\u8bba\u575b\u63a2\u8ba8\u8d85\u5927\u57ce\u5e02\u533a\u57df\u4e0e\u57ce\u5e02\u7fa4\u534f\u540c\u3002\u6700\u540e\u56db\u573a\u7279\u522b\u8bba\u575b\u5728<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">12<\/span><span style=\"font-family: DengXian;\">\u6708<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">12<\/span><span style=\"font-family: DengXian;\">\u65e5\u4e3e\u884c\u3002\u5b59\u4e00\u98de\u6559\u6388\u4e3b\u6301\u5173\u4e8e\u518d\u5168\u7403\u5316\u7684\u7279\u522b\u8bba\u575b\uff1b\u5f20\u78ca\u6559\u6388\u4e3b\u6301\u7279\u522b\u8bba\u575b\u63a2\u8ba8\u57ce\u5e02\u975e\u6b63\u89c4\u6027\uff1b\u5317\u5927\u6797\u80af\u4e2d\u5fc3\u4e3b\u4efb\u5218\u5fd7\u4e3b\u6301\u5173\u4e8e\u6df1\u5733\u57ce\u5e02\u66f4\u65b0\u7814\u7a76\u7684\u7279\u522b\u8bba\u575b\uff1b\u738b\u6d69\u950b\u6559\u6388\u4e3b\u6301\u5173\u4e8e\u57ce\u5e02\u7a7a\u95f4\u53e5\u6cd5\u4e0e\u7f8e\u597d\u57ce\u5e02\u751f\u6d3b\u7684\u7279\u522b\u8bba\u575b\u3002<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">More than 200 faculty members, researchers, and students presented their research in 53 parallel sessions and roundtables. The 53 parallel sessions and roundtables covered a wide range of research topics in the fields of transportation and infrastructure planning, housing and community development, urban health and safety, urban renewal and historical preservation, urban and landscape design, land use and economic development, environmental planning, urban analytics, and planning education.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.china-planning.org\/alpha\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/122320_2136_The14thIACP3.jpg\" alt=\"\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">200<\/span><span style=\"font-family: DengXian;\">\u591a\u4f4d\u6559\u6388\u3001\u7814\u7a76\u751f\u4ee5\u53ca\u89c4\u5212\u5e08\u5728<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">53<\/span><span style=\"font-family: DengXian;\">\u4e2a\u5e73\u884c\u8bba\u575b\u548c\u5706\u684c\u8bba\u575b\u4e2d\u4f5c\u62a5\u544a\u3002\u62a5\u544a\u4e3b\u9898\u8303\u56f4\u5e7f\u6cdb\uff0c\u8986\u76d6\u57ce\u5e02\u89c4\u5212\u7684\u4e3b\u8981\u9886\u57df\uff0c\u5305\u62ec\u57ce\u5e02\u4ea4\u901a\u4e0e\u57fa\u7840\u8bbe\u65bd\u89c4\u5212\u3001\u4f4f\u623f\u4e0e\u793e\u533a\u53d1\u5c55\u3001\u57ce\u5e02\u5065\u5eb7\u4e0e\u5b89\u5168\u3001\u57ce\u5e02\u66f4\u65b0\u4e0e\u5386\u53f2\u4fdd\u62a4\u3001\u57ce\u5e02\u4e0e\u666f\u89c2\u8bbe\u8ba1\u3001\u7528\u5730\u4e0e\u7ecf\u6d4e\u53d1\u5c55\u3001\u73af\u5883\u89c4\u5212\u3001\u57ce\u5e02\u5927\u6570\u636e\u5206\u6790\u4ee5\u53ca\u89c4\u5212\u6559\u80b2\u3002<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">The conference sponsored three special issues of academic journals: Housing Policy Debate (Professor Zhilin Liu as the guest editor), Travel Behavior and Society (Professor Chenghe Guan as the guest editor) and Socio-Ecological Practice Research (Professor Haoting Zhong as the guest editor).<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: DengXian;\">\u5927\u4f1a\u4e0e\u4e09\u4e2a\u56fd\u9645\u5b66\u672f\u671f\u520a\u5408\u4f5c\u51fa\u7248\u7279\u522b\u671f\u520a\u3002\u5218\u5fd7\u6797\u6559\u6388\u62c5\u4efb<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">Housing Policy Debate<\/span><span style=\"font-family: DengXian;\">\u6742\u5fd7\u7279\u520a\u7f16\u8f91\uff1b\u5173\u6210\u8d3a\u6559\u6388\u62c5\u4efb<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">Travel Behavior and Society<\/span><span style=\"font-family: DengXian;\">\u6742\u5fd7\u7279\u520a\u7f16\u8f91\uff1b\u4ef2\u6d69\u5929\u6559\u6388\u62c5\u4efb<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">Socio-Ecological Practice Research<\/span><span style=\"font-family: DengXian;\">\u6742\u5fd7\u7279\u520a\u7f16\u8f91\u3002<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">The closing ceremony was co-chaired by Professor Xiaochun Yang and Professor Lingqian Hu. Dr. Laxmi Ramasubramanian, the president-elect of ACSP, gave her keynote speech on the future of global planning education. Dr. Daniel (Dianzhi) Sui, the vice-President of Virginia Tech, gave his keynote speech on urban innovation in the post-pandemic period. Professor Xiaoguang Wang, chair of the IACP Award Committee, announced seven awards. Dr. Julia Harten, an assistant professor at the University of British Columbia, won the ACSP\/IACP Karen R. Polenske Best Student Paper Award; Mr. Sicheng Wang, a Ph.D. candidate at the Rutgers University, won the Karen R. Polenske Best Student Paper Award; Mr. Hengyu Gu, a Ph.D. student at the Peking University, won the IACP Best Student Paper Award; Dr. Li Fang, an assistant professor at the Florida State University, won the IACP Rising Scholar Award; Dr. Zhi Liu, Director of the Peking University \u2013 Lincoln Institute Center, won the IACP Distinguished Service Award, Xuanyi Nie (a graduate student at the Harvard University) and Hengyu Gu (Shanghai Academy of Social Science) won the Economic Approach in Urban Sustainability Studies Award, and more than a dozen presenters won the IACP Presentation Award.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: DengXian;\">\u5927\u4f1a\u95ed\u5e55\u5f0f\u7531\u6768\u6653\u6625\u6559\u6388\u548c\u80e1\u4f36\u5029\u6559\u6388\u5171\u540c\u4e3b\u6301\u3002\u7f8e\u56fd\u89c4\u5212\u9662\u6821\u8054\u5408\u4f1a\u5019\u4efb\u4e3b\u5e2d\u62c9\u514b\u65af\u7c73\u00b7\u62c9\u739b\u82cf\u5e03\u62c9\u66fc\u5c3c\u4e9a\u6559\u6388\u505a\u5173\u4e8e\u672a\u6765\u5168\u7403\u89c4\u5212\u6559\u80b2\u7684\u6f14\u8bb2\u3002\u7f8e\u56fd\u5f17\u5409\u5c3c\u4e9a\u7406\u5de5\u5927\u5b66\u526f\u6821\u957f\u968b\u6bbf\u5fd7\u6559\u6388\u505a\u5173\u4e8e\u540e\u75ab\u60c5\u65f6\u4ee3\u57ce\u5e02\u521b\u65b0\u7684\u6f14\u8bb2\u3002<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">IACP<\/span><span style=\"font-family: DengXian;\">\u7406\u4e8b\u4f1a\u6210\u5458\u738b\u6653\u5149\u6559\u6388\u516c\u5e03\u4e03\u4e2a\u5956\u9879\u7684\u83b7\u5956\u4eba\u3002\u4e0d\u5217\u98a0\u54e5\u4f26\u6bd4\u4e9a\u5927\u5b66\u52a9\u7406\u6559\u6388\u8331\u8389\u83b7<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">IACP\/ACSP Karen R. Dr. Xiaolong Luo, the Associate Dean of the School of Architecture and Urban Planning at the Nanjing University, greeted the audience and encourage them to attend the next year&#8217;s IACP conference in Nanjiing.
