Dr. Yan Wang is an assistant professor at the Department of Urban and Regional Planning at University of Florida, Gainesville, FL, U.S.A. She is also the founding faculty of the Florida Institute for Built Environment Resilience (FIBER) and directs Urban Agility and Resilience Laboratory at FIBER. Dr. Wang received her Ph.D. in Civil Engineering at Virginia Tech in 2018, and she obtained her bachelor’s degree in Construction Management (2012) and master’s degree in Asset Valuation (2015) both from Beijing Jiao Tong University. Dr. Wang is a UF Global Research Fellow (2018), Virginia Tech IGEP BioBuild Fellow (2015), Natural Hazard Center Weather-Ready Research Fellow, and the recipient of the UF DCP Excellence in Research Award (2021), UF Research Promotion Initiative Award (2021) and ASCE JME Honorable Mention Award (2021).

\u6c6a\u7430\u535a\u58eb\u7684\u7814\u7a76\u6d89\u53ca\u97e7\u6027\u3001\u667a\u80fd\u548c\u5b89\u5168\u57ce\u5e02\u3002\u5979\u5f00\u53d1\u4e86\u57fa\u4e8e\u4eba\u5de5\u667a\u80fd\u7684\u524d\u6cbf\u6570\u636e\u5206\u6790\u548c\u5730\u7406\u53ef\u89c6\u5316\u6280\u672f\uff0c\u4ee5\u68c0\u6d4b\u5371\u673a\u3001\u8bc4\u4f30\u707e\u96be\u635f\u5bb3\u5e76\u521b\u5efa\u65b0\u7684\u6570\u636e\u9a71\u52a8\u65b9\u6cd5\u6765\u8861\u91cf\u57ce\u5e02\u548c\u533a\u57df\u7684\u97e7\u6027\u3002\u5979\u8fd8\u7814\u7a76\u6781\u7aef\u4e8b\u4ef6\u4e0b\u4fe1\u606f\u4e0e\u4eba\u7c7b\u884c\u4e3a\u4e4b\u95f4\u7684\u590d\u6742\u76f8\u4e92\u4f5c\u7528\uff0c\u4ee5\u4fbf\u63d0\u9ad8\u98ce\u9669\u6c9f\u901a\u7684\u6709\u6548\u6027\u3001\u51cf\u5c11\u9519\u8bef\u4fe1\u606f\u4f20\u64ad\u5e76\u53d1\u5e03\u6709\u9488\u5bf9\u6027\u707e\u5bb3\u8b66\u544a\u3002\u5979\u6700\u8fd1\u7684\u7814\u7a76\u5173\u6ce8\u4e8e\u667a\u80fd\u57ce\u5e02\u7684\u5b89\u5168\u548c\u4e0d\u65ad\u9002\u5e94\u6280\u672f\u521b\u65b0\u7684\u667a\u80fd\u73af\u5883\u89c4\u5212\u3002\u5979\u5728\u57ce\u5e02\u3001\u5de5\u7a0b\u3001\u8ba1\u7b97\u673a\u3001\u548c\u5371\u673a\u4fe1\u606f\u5b66\u7b49\u4ea4\u53c9\u9886\u57df\u7684\u9ad8\u5f71\u54cd\u540c\u884c\u8bc4\u5ba1\u671f\u520a\u548c\u4f1a\u8bae\u8bba\u6587\u96c6\u4e0a\u53d1\u8868\u4e86\u8fd1<\/span>30<\/span>\u7bc7\u8bba\u6587\u3002\u8fd9\u4e9b\u671f\u520a\u8bba\u5305\u542b\u300a<\/span>ASCE Journal of Computing in Civil Engineering<\/span>\u300b<\/span>, <\/span>\u300a<\/span>Computers, Environment and Urban Systems<\/span>\u300b<\/span>, <\/span>\u300a<\/span>Computers in Human Behavior<\/span>\u300b\uff0c\u300a<\/span>ASCE Journal of Management in Engineering<\/span>\u300b<\/span>, <\/span>\u300a<\/span>International Journal of Project Management<\/span>\u300b<\/span>, <\/span>\u300a<\/span>Sustainable Cities and Society<\/span>\u300b<\/span>, <\/span>\u300a<\/span>International Journal of Disaster Risk Reduction<\/span>\u300b<\/span>, <\/span>\u300a<\/span>Natural Hazards<\/span>\u300b\u7b49\u7b49\u3002\u5979\u4e5f\u662f\u7f8e\u56fd\u56fd\u5bb6\u79d1\u5b66\u57fa\u91d1\u4f1a\uff08\u5305\u542b\u591a\u4e2a<\/span>NSF SCC, NSF RAPID<\/span>\u9879\u76ee\uff09\u3001\u81ea\u7136\u707e\u5bb3\u4e2d\u5fc3\u548c\u4f5b\u7f57\u91cc\u8fbe\u5927\u5b66\u8d44\u52a9\u7684\u5341\u591a\u4e2a\u83b7\u5956\u7814\u7a76\u9879\u76ee\u7684\u9996\u5e2d\u7814\u7a76\u5458\u3002<\/span>

Dr. Wang’s research concerns resilient, smart, and safe cities. She develops cutting-edge AI-based data analytical and geo-visualization techniques to detect crises, assess damage, and create new data-driven approaches for measuring community resilience. She also studies complex interactions between information and human behaviors under extreme events in order to inform risk communication, combat misinformation, and disseminate targeted warnings. Her recent research focuses on smart city safety and smart environment planning for technology innovations. Her research has been published in top-tier peer-review journals and conference proceedings across engineering, computing, urban planning, and crisis informatics disciplines including ASCE Journal of Computing in Civil Engineering, ASCE Journal of Management in Engineering, International Journal of Project Management, Computers, Environment and Urban Systems, Computers in Human Behavior, Sustainable Cities and Society, International Journal of Disaster Risk Reduction, Natural Hazards, and ISCRAM, ICCCE, CRC, HICSS. She is the principal investigator for more than ten awarded research projects funded by the National Science Foundation (e.g. NSF SCC, NSF RAPID), Natural Hazards Center, and the University of Florida.
