Zhenhua Chen is an assistant professor in City and Regional Planning at the Knowlton School of Architecture at The Ohio State University.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

2006<\/span>\u5e74\u83b7\u7535\u5b50\u79d1\u6280\u5927\u5b66\u7ba1\u7406\u5b66\u5b66\u58eb\uff0c<\/span>2009<\/span>\u5e74\u83b7\u6df1\u5733\u5927\u5b66\u533a\u57df\u7ecf\u6d4e\u5b66\u7855\u58eb\uff0c<\/span>2014<\/span>\u5e74\u83b7\u4e54\u6cbb\u6885\u68ee\u5927\u5b66\u516c\u5171\u653f\u7b56\u535a\u58eb\u3002\u6bd5\u4e1a\u540e\u66fe\u5728\u5357\u52a0\u5dde\u5927\u5b66\u56fd\u5bb6\u5a01\u80c1\u548c\u7d27\u6025\u60c5\u51b5\u98ce\u9669\u548c\u7ecf\u6d4e\u5206\u6790\u4e2d\u5fc3<\/span> (CREATE) <\/span>\u62c5\u4efb\u535a\u58eb\u540e\u7814\u7a76\u5458\uff08<\/span>2014-2016<\/span>\uff09\u3002<\/span>2016<\/span>\u5e74\u52a0\u5165\u4fc4\u4ea5\u4fc4\u5dde\u7acb\u5927\u5b66\u4efb\u6559\u81f3\u4eca\u3002<\/span>

He received a bachelor’s degree in management from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China in 2006, a master’s degree in regional economics from Shenzhen University in 2009, and a doctorate in public policy from George Mason University in 2014. After graduation, he worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the Center for Risk and Economic Analysis of Threats and Emergencies (CREATE) at University of Southern California (2014-2016). He has been teaching at The Ohio State University since 2016.

His research interest includes regional impact analysis of infrastructure planning and policy, and disaster resilience assessment.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

He has published five books, including Chinese Railways in the Era of High Speed<\/em> (Emerald, 2015), Economic Consequence Analysis of Disasters: The E-CAT Software Tool<\/em> (Springer, 2017), and Big Data for Regional Science<\/em> (Routledge, 2017). High-Speed Rail and China’s New Economic Geography:<\/em>
\nImpact Assessment from the Regional Science Perspective<\/em> (Edward Elgar, 2019) and Development Studies in Regional Science: Essays in Honor of Kingsley E. Haynes<\/em> (Springer, 2020). He has also published over 70 articles, in various peer-reviewed journals, such as Transportation Research Part A, Transportation Research Part D, Transport Reviews, Journal of Transport Geography, Transportation, Transport Policy, Journal and Transport and Land Use, Accident Analysis and Prevention, Environment Research Letters, Risk Analysis, International Journal of Disaster Risk Reduction, Land Use Policy, Annals of Regional Science, Papers in Regional Science, Computer Environment and Urban Systems, Economic Systems Research, European Planning Studies, Economic Development Quarterly, Applied Economic Letters, Plos One, Asia Europe Journal, and International Journal of Urban Sciences<\/em>.

He received several awards in regional science, such as Benjamin Stevens Fellowship, Vernon Jordan Jr. Fellowship, the Regional Science Association International (RSAI) Best Dissertation Award, Charles Tiebout Prize, and William Miernyk Research Excellence Medal. His research was funded by various agencies, such as the US Department of Agriculture, The US Department of Transportation, the National Science Foundation, Lincoln Institute of Land Policy, Ford Motor Company, The Ohio Department of Transportation, The Ohio Department of Public Safety, and the Property Casualty Insurers Association of America.

\n<\/span>\u300a<\/span>Sustainability<\/span>\u300b\u7684”\u8bc4\u4f30\u4e0d\u786e\u5b9a\u4e16\u754c\u4e2d\u57fa\u7840\u8bbe\u65bd\u6295\u8d44\u7684\u793e\u4f1a\u7ecf\u6d4e\u5f71\u54cd”\uff1b\u548c\u300a<\/span>Transportation Research Part A<\/em><\/span>\u300b<\/em>\u7684”\u4ea4\u901a\u57fa\u7840\u8bbe\u65bd\u5f71\u54cd\u8bc4\u4f30\u7684\u65b0\u65b9\u6cd5”\u3002<\/span>

Zhenhua is currently a board member of IACP (2021 \u2013 2023) and he serves as the chair of the conference committee. In the past, he has organized several IACP events with colleagues, including the 2017 Yuelu Forum (at Hunan University) and the 2019 International Symposium on High-Speed Rail and the Environment (virtually co-hosted with Shijiazhuang Tiedao University). He has also organized three IACP related special issues, including “High-Speed Rail and the Environment” on Transportation Research Part D<\/em>; “Evaluating the Socioeconomic Impact of Infrastructure Investment in an Uncertain World” on Sustainability<\/em>; and “Novel Analytical Approaches to Impact Assessment of Transportation Infrastructure” on Transportation Research Part A<\/em>.
