Dr. Long Cheng is an associate professor in the School of Transportation at Southeast University. He was previously a postdoctoral researcher at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and Ghent University. Dr. Cheng received his Ph.D. in Transport Engineering, and B.Eng. in Transport & Traffic both from Southeast University.

Dr. Cheng’s research interests include transport hub planning and design, transport and land use, shared mobility, and travel behaviour modelling. Dr. Cheng has been involved in research projects funded by the Ministry of Science and Technology of China, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the European Research Council, and the Research Foundation \u2013 Flanders (FWO), Belgium. He has published in various international peer-reviewed journals, including Transportation Research Part A, Part C, Part D, IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems, Transportation, Journal of Transport Geography and Cities. Several articles have been selected as ESI highly cited papers. Currently, he is a committee member of Mobility on Demand and as a Service Committee of ASCE, committee member of Urban Multimodal Transport Network Planning Committee of WTC, member of International Association for Travel Behaviour Research, World Symposium on Transport and Land Use Research, and International Association for China Planning. He serves as the associate editor of Travel Behaviour and Society, and an editorial board member of the Journal of Transport Geography and Journal of Transport and Land Use.<\/strong>

\u5728\u79d1\u7814\u4e4b\u5916\uff0c\u7a0b\u9f99\u81f4\u529b\u4e8e\u5bf9\u7814\u7a76\u6210\u679c\u7684\u5e94\u7528\u8f6c\u5316\u3002\u4ed6\u548c\u56e2\u961f\u5171\u540c\u5b8c\u6210\u4e86\u5bf9\u4e2d\u56fd\uff08\u5357\u4eac\u3001\u82cf\u5dde\uff09\u3001\u6bd4\u5229\u65f6\uff08\u5e03\u9c81\u585e\u5c14\u3001\u6839\u7279\uff09\u53ca\u82f1\u56fd\uff08\u767d\u91d1\u6c49\u90e1\uff09\u7b49\u56fd\u5bb6\u5927\u90fd\u5e02\u533a\u591a\u6a21\u5f0f\u4ea4\u901a\u8bc4\u4f30\u4e0e\u4e2d\u957f\u671f\u89c4\u5212\u3002\u4ed6\u5728\u591a\u6a21\u5f0f\u4ea4\u901a\u89c4\u5212\u3001\u4ea4\u901a\u53ef\u8fbe\u6027\u65b9\u9762\u7684\u7814\u7a76\u6210\u679c\u5165\u9009\u5b9e\u73b0\u8054\u5408\u56fd\u53ef\u6301\u7eed\u53d1\u5c55\u76ee\u6807\uff08<\/span>SDGs<\/span>\uff09\u76f8\u5173\u7814\u7a76\u7684\u7cbe\u9009\u8bba\u6587\uff0c\u88ab\u5199\u5165\u4e2d\u56fd\u56fd\u5bb6\u884c\u4e1a\u6280\u672f\u6807\u51c6\u3002<\/span><\/strong>

Apart from engaging with the academic community, Dr. Cheng endeavours to apply research insights to practical decision-making. He has participated in the evaluation and long-term planning of multimodal transport systems for several metropolitan areas in China (Nanjing, Suzhou), Belgium (Ghent, Brussels), and the United Kingdom (Buckinghamshire). His research on multimodal transport planning and transport accessibility has been selected as a curated article for achieving the United Nations Sustainable Developments Goals, and included China’s national industrial technical standards. <\/strong>
