Dr. Dong received his Ph.D. in City and Regional Planning and Master of City Planning degrees from the University of Pennsylvania. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Planning from the University of Utah.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u7814\u7a76\u65b9\u5411\u4e0e\u793e\u4f1a\u8d21\u732e (Research direction and social contribution)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u8463\u535a\u58eb\u7684\u7814\u7a76\u4e13\u6ce8\u4e8e\u65b0\u4ea4\u901a\u6280\u672f\u4e0e\u670d\u52a1\u5bf9\u5e02\u6c11\u51fa\u884c\u3001\u4ea4\u901a\u7cfb\u7edf\u548c\u57ce\u5e02\u73af\u5883\u7684\u5f71\u54cd\u3002\u4ed6\u7684\u7814\u7a76\u8fd8\u5305\u62ec\u4ea4\u901a\u5b89\u5168\u548c\u4e0e\u9752\u5c11\u5e74\u9a7e\u9a76\u57f9\u8bad\u76f8\u5173\u7684\u8bfe\u9898\u3002\u8463\u535a\u58eb\u76ee\u524d\u7684\u7814\u7a76\u9879\u76ee\u5305\u62ec\u65e0\u4eba\u9a7e\u9a76\u6c7d\u8f66\u5bf9\u884c\u4eba\u884c\u4e3a\u7684\u5f71\u54cd\uff0c\u4ee5\u53ca\u5bb6\u957f\u76d1\u7763\u7684\u9a7e\u9a76\u57f9\u8bad\u5bf9\u5c11\u5e74\u63d0\u9ad8\u9a7e\u9a76\u6280\u672f\u7684\u6548\u679c\u3002\u4ed6\u8fd1\u671f\u7684\u7814\u7a76\u65b9\u6848\u5305\u62ec\u4ea4\u901a\u4e0e\u571f\u5730\u5229\u7528\u548c\u793e\u4f1a\u5e73\u7b49\u95f4\u7684\u5173\u7cfb\u3002\u4ed6\u7684\u7814\u7a76\u6210\u679c\u5df2\u5728Journal of American Planning Association\u548cJournal of Planning Education and Research\u7b49\u540c\u884c\u8bc4\u8bae\u671f\u520a\u4e0a\u53d1\u8868\u3002<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Dong is motivated to study the impact of new transportation services and technologies on travel behavior, transport systems, and the built environment. He also studies traffic safety and equity and access in teen driver training. Dr. Dong\u2019s current projects include an investigation of the impact of driverless cars on pedestrian crossing behavior, and an analysis of the effectiveness of adult-supervised training in improving teen learners\u2019 driving skills. His short-term research plan includes examination of the impact of transportation on land use and inequality.
