The following members have won the most votes and will join the IACP Board of Directors (2025-2027) starting in October 2025. CHEN, Na, Associate Professor, Sun Yat-Sen University, China<\/span><\/p>\n

Dr. Na Chen is Associate Professor and Assistant Dean at the School of Government, Sun Yat-sen University, where she also serves as Department Chair and Deputy Director of the Center for Chinese Public Administration Research. She holds a Ph.D. from The Ohio State University and previously held academic positions in the U.S. Her research focuses on transportation planning, urban planning, and public policy, with 30+ peer-reviewed publications. An active IACP member since her student years, Dr. Chen is committed to advancing international collaboration and academic exchange. Her nomination reflects her dedication to IACP\u2019s mission and global engagement.<\/p>\n

FANG, Li (Kerry), Associate Professor, UIUC, USA<\/span><\/p>\n

Kerry Fang, Associate Professor at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, brings over a decade of expertise in economic development and land use policy. An active IACP member for over ten years, she contributes to its mission through research, mentorship, and leadership. Her goal of serving on the IACP Board is twofold. Externally, she aims to elevate IACP\u2019s global visibility by leveraging her networks with APA, ACSP, and UAA. Internally, she is committed to enhancing professional development and mentorship for Chinese scholars, drawing on her experience as a UAA Professional Development Leader.<\/p>\n

TIAN, Guang, Associate Professor, University of New Orleans, USA<\/span><\/p>\n

Dr. Guang Tian, Associate Professor of Urban Planning and Director of the Center for Transit-Oriented Communities at the University of New Orleans, has been an active IACP member since attending his first IACP conference in 2013. He has regularly participated in IACP\u2019s annual conferences, business meetings at ACSP, and gatherings at TRB. Notably, he received IACP\u2019s 2014 Travel Award and attended its 1st Planning Research and Career Development Symposium in 2022. Having benefited greatly from the organization, Dr. Tian is eager to give back by serving on the board and helping foster a vibrant, supportive community for IACP members.<\/p>\n

TANG, Yue (Amy), Assistant Professor, University of Nottingham, UK<\/span><\/p>\n

Dr. Amy Tang is an Assistant Professor at the University of Nottingham, focusing on sustainable urban design. With two decades of research and teaching experience, she explores urban transformation, public space, industrial redevelopment, and traditional Chinese architecture and urban planning. She has served on the IACP-European Chapter\u2019s Advisory Group for two years, organising academic seminars and the 2025 IACP-EU Waterfront Development International Conference. Drawing on her academic and practical background, she aims to strengthen the Chapter\u2019s outreach, foster interdisciplinary collaboration, and promote meaningful engagement within the international planning community as the IACP-European Chapter Director.<\/p>\n

SUN, Hantao, PhD Student, Cornell University, USA<\/span><\/p>\n

Hantao Sun is a PhD student in City and Regional Planning at Cornell University. His research focuses on \u201cordinary\u201d small cities and the epistemological alternatives they offer to mainstream urban knowledge. He previously worked as a planner in Georgia and earned degrees from Renmin University of China and Cornell. Active in IACP since 2023, he has been an engaged discussant and questioner. As a board member, he hopes to promote the voices of \u201cotherness\u201d often left out of urban discourse\u2014those shaped by heterogeneity, marginality, and lived complexity\u2014through dialogues that are retrospective, pluralistic, and always open to being challenged.<\/p>\n

ZHU, Chunwu, PhD Candidate, Texas A&M University, USA<\/span><\/p>\n

I’m Chunwu Zhu, a PhD candidate in Landscape Architecture and Urban Planning at Texas A&M University, with bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Renmin University of China. My research focuses on urban AI, transportation safety, environmental justice, transportation project evaluation, and environmental criminology. Over the past few years, I have actively participated in IACP conferences and events, gaining valuable insights and guidance for my doctoral studies, as well as receiving tremendous support and advice from IACP members.
