{"id":404,"date":"2016-12-06T13:55:54","date_gmt":"2016-12-06T05:55:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.chinaplanning.org\/alpha\/?p=404"},"modified":"2020-12-21T07:05:02","modified_gmt":"2020-12-20T23:05:02","slug":"2016-iacp-annual-meeting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.china-planning.org\/alpha\/2016\/12\/06\/2016-iacp-annual-meeting\/","title":{"rendered":"2016 IACP annual meeting during ACSP Conference"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-220 size-medium\" style=\"margin-right: 10px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.china-planning.org\/alpha\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/faculty-application-at-acsp_1000.jpg\" alt=\"faculty application at acsp\" width=\"700\" height=\"383\" align=\"left\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The IACP annual meeting was held at the ACSP conference in Portland, Oregon on Friday 11\/4\/2016.\u00a0 <!--more-->IACP President Professor Jason Cao stated the mission of IACP, reviewed past IACP chairs and annual conferences, and introduced the current Board of Directors and its organizational structure.\u00a0 After that, Professor Cao summarized IACP\u2019s activities and achievements in the past year.\u00a0 With local host Peking University, IACP successfully hosted 2016 annual conference and the 4<sup>th<\/sup> Dean\u2019s Forum at Peking University in June.\u00a0 As a co-local host, Beijing Jiaotong University organized the Transportation and Urban Synergy Development Forum. \u00a0After the conference, members also participated in the technical tour to Dunhuang on the Silk Road.\u00a0 IACP also produced five special issues in leading journals on transportation research and will produce at least four special issues in the coming year.\u00a0 These special issues have attracted broad interests from Chinese planning scholars and their counterparts in other countries, providing an opportunity for Chinese scholars to stand out on the international stage.\u00a0 With rapidly growing participants, IACP conference has become one of the most influential international conferences on planning in China. \u00a0Professor Cao announced that Dr. Chenghe Guan, a recent graduate of Harvard University, was the winner of this year\u2019s Karen R.
