The High-Level Dialogue on Integrated Transport and Urban Development, jointly organized by the International Association for China Planning (IACP), Beijing Jiaotong University (BJTU), and the journal Urban Rail Transit, will be held at Beijing Jiaotong University on July 6, 2026.
The year 2026 marks the 150th anniversary of the birth of Chinese railways and the 130th anniversary of Beijing Jiaotong University. Looking back at the historical journey of China’s railways, rail transit has profoundly shaped regional connectivity, urban spatial structures, and travel behaviors, becoming a vital force supporting national strategic implementation and high-quality urban development.
This event invites renowned experts in railway and rail transit from the UK, Canada, Italy, Japan, and China. They will engage in an international dialogue focusing on topics such as railway-driven regional space and planning transformation, the revitalization of major rail transit hubs, rail-oriented life circles, and the economic revitalization of metropolitan rail transit.
