IACP Travel Awards
Dear IACP members:
As a benefit to our members, the IACP Board of Directors has continued to offer the 2025 IACP Travel Awards to IACP members, particularly student members and junior faculty members, to help offset a part of their international travel expenses.
To be eligible for this year’s travel award, the applicant must:
- Must hold an active IACP membership at the time of application.
- Have an abstract that was accepted for the 19th IACP conference in Xiamen from July 3-6, 2025.
- Be currently studying or working abroad (including Hong Kong and Macau) and planning to travel to China to attend the conference in person.
- Be a PhD student or pre-tenure scholar who received their Ph.D. degree after January 1st, 2020.
- Applicants who need to travel long distance from their current university or research institute to Xiamen will be given a higher priority.
- Previous awardees will be given a lower priority.
To be considered for this award, all applicants must submit an application form to Sylvia He, sylviahe@cuhk.edu.hk by May 5th, 2025. Late or incomplete applications may not be considered for an award.
Starting this year, the membership requirement for award applications has changed: applicants must hold an active IACP membership at the time of application to be eligible for the above awards. A screenshot showing active IACP membership status must be submitted along with the other required documents.
The application should contain the following information:
- Name
- Affiliation and Country/Region
- Position
- PhD degree certificate (for pre-tenure scholars)
- IACP membership status
- Accepted paper ID and title
- Travel plans to the conference
- Reasons for applying for this award (no more than 150 words in English)
- CV
- A screenshot showing active IACP membership status
The awardees must attend and make presentation(s) at the conference in order to receive the award. A total of 6 awards will be available, each with US$500 or Chinese RMB of an equivalent value.
