李圣晓博士现担任俄勒冈大学规划,政策和管理学院访问助理教授,将于2024年6月任职新加坡国立大学建筑系城市规划助理教授。他于宾夕法尼亚大学获得城市与区域规划博士,并于北京大学获得管理学与经济学学士及城市规划硕士。他曾于加州大学河滨分校担任博士后和讲师。

Dr. Shengxiao (Alex) Li is currently a Visiting Assistant Professor in the School of Planning, Public Policy, and Management at the University of Oregon (UO). He will join the Department of Architecture at the National University of Singapore as an Assistant Professor of Urban Planning in June 2024. He obtained his PhD in City and Regional Planning from the University of Pennsylvania, and his Master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning, and Bachelor’s degrees in Economics and Urban Management from Peking University in China. Prior to joining UO, he was a postdoctoral fellow and lecturer at the University of California, Riverside.

李圣晓博士的研究方向集中在人口老龄化对城市发展特别是交通和住房规划的影响,以及公平视角下的出行行为,可达性,和公交导向土地开发。作为一名跨学科的国际学者,他的主要研究成果体现在以下几个方面:中国城市快速郊区化影响下的公交周边土地公平开发,从环境心理学角度研究小汽车对不同社会群体的作用,美国婴儿潮一代对交通规划和住房的影响。博士毕业后,其目前研究集中在针对气候变化的规划制定和实施,比如电动汽车政策和公平的公交导向土地开发。其研究得到美国交通部,林肯土地政策中心等机构的支持,在城市规划、交通、公共健康高影响力期刊如Journal of American Planning Association,Journal of Planning Literature,Transportation Research Part A 和Part D,Journal of Aging and Social Policy发表文章26篇。

Dr. Li’s research focuses on the implications of transportation and housing of population aging. He also applies an equity lens to transportation planning, with a focus on travel behavior, accessibility, and transit-oriented development. As an international and interdisciplinary scholar, his research contributes to several key areas: the equity of transit-oriented development in China’s rapidly growing suburbs, car ownership dynamics among different social groups from an environmental psychology perspective, and the impact of Baby Boomers’ on transportation and housing in the U.S. His postdoctoral research focuses on planning and implementation of climate actions, including electric vehicle adoption and equitable transit-oriented development initiatives. His research has received support from the U.S. Department of Transportation and the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy. Dr. Li has published 26 peer-reviewed papers in leading journals related to urban planning, transportation, and public health, including the Journal of American Planning Association, Journal of Planning Literature, Transportation Research Part A and Part D, and the Journal of Aging and Social Policy.

李圣晓博士是IACP的活跃会员。他曾获得IACP最佳学生论文提名,并共同指导学生写作关于中国老年人生活满意度的文章获得IACP最佳学生论文奖。他在IACP组织三次圆桌论坛探讨老年人出行问题,规划博士申请,以及共享出行。

Dr. Li has been an active member of IACP since 2016. He received an honorable mention for the Best Student Paper Award and co-mentored a PhD student, Shuhong Wang, in finishing a paper about Chinese older adults’ subjective well-being. The paper won the Best Student Paper Award at IACP. Additionally, he has organized multiple roundtable discussions at IACP conferences to discuss topics such as aging and mobility, shared mobility, and the process of applying for PhD programs in urban planning.
