研究方向与社会贡献  (Research direction and social contribution)

她先后在《Journal of the American Planning Association》《Journal of Planning Education and Research》《Journal of Environmental Planning and Management》《Landscape Journal》《Landscape Research》《城市规划学刊》等国内外学术期刊发表数十篇论文。她参与编制了中美规划从业技术指引丛书:《Drafting a Disaster Recovery Guide with Planners in Mind》《Plan Integration for Resilience Scorecard Guidebook》《城乡规划编制技术手册》。她的研究获得美国国土安全部(DHS),美国国家自然科学基金(NSF),以及美国国立环境卫生科学研究院(NIEHS) 资助 。

Much of Dr. Yu’s current research focuses on the development, application, and extension of the Plan Integration for Resilience Scorecard (PIRS) evaluation methodology. The aim of this research is to better understand relationships among the various policy institutions in a community, the network of land use and development plans they produce, and social and physical vulnerability to hazards and climate change. Other recent research topics include urban resilience, environmental planning, land use planning, social vulnerability, and climate change adaptation. Dr. Yu has published over fifteen academic papers in international journals, including Journal of the American Planning Association, Journal of Planning Education and Research, Journal of Environmental Planning and Management, Landscape Journal, Journal of Landscape Research and Journal of Urban Planning Forum. She also participated in writing three planning-practitioner-oriented guidebooks: “Drafting a Disaster Recovery Guide with Planners in Mind”, “Plan Integration for Resilience Scorecard Guidebook”, and “Urban-Rural Planning Compiling Technique Guidebook”. Her research has been funded by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the National Science Foundation (NSF), and the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS).
