杨天人（Dr. Tianren Yang）

助理教授，香港大学城市规划与设计系

杨天人是香港大学城市规划与设计系助理教授。他曾在剑桥大学马丁建筑与城市研究中心从事博士后工作，兼任剑桥大学克莱尔学院青年研究员（Junior Research Fellow）、林肯土地政策研究中心林肯学者（Lincoln Institute Scholar）。他先后获得英国剑桥大学的博士学位（建筑学城市模型方向），美国佐治亚理工学的城市设计硕士学位，以及同济大学的城乡规划学获硕士和景观学学士学位。

Dr. Tianren Yang is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Urban Planning and Design at the University of Hong Kong. He was a Post-doctoral Research Associate at the University of Cambridge, a Junior Research Fellow at Clare Hall, and a Lincoln Institute Scholar at the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy. Dr. Yang received a Ph.D. in architecture (applied urban modeling) from the University of Cambridge, an M.Sc. in urban design from the Georgia Institute of Technology, and an M.Eng. in urban planning and a B.Eng. in landscape architecture from Tongji University.

研究方向与社会贡献（Research direction and social contribution）

杨天人从事城市演化机制与城市系统建模研究，关注对城市发展（如房地产市场、职住空间选择、居民福祉变化）的规律识别、量化归因与未来推演。研究成果发表在包括《Regional Studies》、《Journal of Planning Literature》、《International Journal of Geographical Information Science》、《Cities》、《Journal of Urban Technology》、《Environment and Planning B》、《城市规划学刊》、《国际城市规划》等城市研究与规划领域的国内外知名期刊，。他目前担任《Journal of Urban Planning and Development》编委会成员和《国际城市规划》特邀编辑。

Dr. Yang’s research interests include urban growth mechanisms and urban systems models. His current research agenda focuses on the pattern detection, quantitative attribution, and predictive modeling of urban development (e.g., real estate market, workplace-residence choices, and social welfare). His research has been published in leading journals in urban studies and planning, including Regional Studies, Journal of Planning Literature, International Journal of Geographical Information Science, Cities, Journal of Urban Technology, Environment and Planning B, Urban Planning Forum, and Urban Planning International. He is now serving as an editorial board member of Journal of Urban Planning and Development and a special issue editor of Urban Planning International.

在科研之外，杨天人致力于对研究成果的应用转化与知识交流。他和团队共同完成了对中国（北京、上海）、美国（芝加哥）及英国（伦敦、剑桥）等国家典型大都市区的中远期发展预测。他在香港大学主讲《城市发展理论》、《空间规划分析方法》等专业课程，并正在筹备香港政府培训课程的开发。杨天人曾获世界地理空间50 位新星奖及入选福布斯中国“30位30岁以下精英榜“（科学和医疗健康类）。

Apart from engaging with the academic community, Dr. Yang endeavors to apply research insights to practical decision-making. He has taken part in the development of predictive models for several dominant city regions in China (Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and Greater Shanghai), the United States (Chicago Metropolitan Area), and the United Kingdom (Greater London and Cambridge). He is the course coordinator of Urban Development Theories and Spatial Planning Analytics. He is also preparing for the executive education courses for the local authorities in Hong Kong. Dr. Yang was awarded Geospatial World 50 Rising Stars and has been included on the Forbes 30 Under 30 China list for Science and Healthcare.

杨天人是IACP会员，积极参与IAPC年会以及其他学会活动。他曾获得IACP Karen R. Polenske最佳学生论文奖（2019），并参与IACP的留学生求职经验分享工作坊（2021）。

Dr. Yang is a member of IACP and has been actively engaged in IACP conferences and activities. He was awarded IACP Karen R. Polenske Best Student Paper Award (2019) and served as a panelist in the IACP’s Job Search & Career Development Workshop (2021).
