刘玉亭,理学博士,华南理工大学建筑学院教授、博士生导师,亚热带建筑科学国家重点实验室(State Key Laboratory of Sub-tropical Building Sciences)骨干成员。于2003年获南京大学人文地理学博士学位。2003年至2007年,先后于英国南安普敦大学地理学院从事博士后研究,于英国卡迪夫大学城市与区域规划学院任助理研究员,2007年9月获聘华南理工大学“百人计划”杰出青年教师岗位,副教授。2012年晋升为教授、博士生导师。
